This video details the installation of the Daniel Defense Omega X 12.0 FSP free float rail on an M4 / AR15 type rifle.

Part 2 describes the process to reinstall all the parts and the free float Omega X rail back onto the weapon.

  • Thanks for the video. I wanted to get the Omega X rail for an AR I'm building, but my worry is the fact that I'm using an Adams Arms piston system with it. Do you know if the Omega X is compatible with a piston system, and if not, do you know of any rail systems that are?

    I would look into the Samson Manufacturing "Evolution EX" rail series. They are great rails and they have rails specifically designed for the Adams Arms piston set ups.

  • How do you know that the front sight post is centered correctly when you reinstall it?

    If the front sight is pinned, it is pretty much self aligning with the pins upon re installation. Clamp on front sight posts need to be manually aligned before tightening.

  • I have a DD omega x question for you. i just got a dd omega x 9.0 on the EE. the barrel nut has holes on the side of the bbl nut at the 3 6 9 12 o'clock. your has recesses on the edge to slide you wrench on. I've never seen this type of nut. have you?
