I love the 1970-1989 era in horror. More specifically, 1976-1985. They had a lot of spunk. Sleepaway Camp, Girls Nite Out, The Prowler, Maniac, Silent Madness, Friday the 13th, Twisted Nightmare, Just Before Dawn...so many atmospheric and intelligent slashers. Cheap, yes, but they showed heart. They had a drive. Not like the bland ones most are from today. :(

To me 1980 was the best year for slashers with Prom Night,FT13th,New Years Evil those are awesome ones to me the early 80s had awesome slashers so did the late 70s
