This is not supposed to be funny or bizarre or whatever like my other vids.
There's a pond behind my house, and geese and ducks like to hang around it, but our neighbors hate them and try to scare them off with broomsticks and rocks and horns, etc. and recently, one neighbor in particular has been harrassing the only pair of geese who laid eggs this year. My family and I have been watching the geese to protect them, but do far the neighbor has destroyed both of their nests and all 3 of their eggs when no one was looking. People in my neighborhood don't seem too interested in helping (most of them hate the geese..) so my family thought it would be a good idea to bring it to more public attention and try to get help.

  • right I think ive got something. I think that the animal protection act (1999) states that animals can't be injured, sick, in pain or suffering. Also that they can't be abused or neglected. I think this at least, I found a PDF on google when I searched for the animal protection act. Obviously there are particular things, such as if they have a permit. Im not sure if they are actually responsible or not. I can't add a link as it exceeds the character limit, sorry. Hop this helps :)

  • @plobnob They should be held responsible. And quite honestly, I find these "permits" violate the animal protection act

  • if you manage to relocate the nest onto your property, just put a sign on the fence that says trespassers will be shot and then the paintball gun becomes a legal option (he'd be trespassing on private property). Depending on the laws in your state, you can even claim that the geese are pets and then if he harasses the geese or destroys the eggs again, it becomes destruction of property. Take him to court, get a large settlement, and then use the funds to create a goose sanctuary :D

  • @dragonskater82

    Thanks! That's a good idea :D

  • report him to Game and Fish. tell them what he's been doing. he should get a fine

  • @TakingU2Skool the local fish and wildlife service gives out permits to kill them =/ ill try though, thank you very much = D

  • mmm.... I think people that do this seriously are just vile and mean... He really should have something done, im going to look up some ways of getting him taught his lesson now, so I'll reply again if i find something good for you. Just trying to put them back in there place.

  • @TakingU2Skool no, that could be considered assault and battery and I'd get busted >< but thank you for trying to help! these people around here are a bunch of xenophobes

  • I hope to hear back from you.

  • when the geese lay eggs replacing with rocks the same size and color and take them to the pond behind your house and sneak them in another geese nest they won't know the difference
