you're not supposed to use dielectric grease on the spark plug threads, use anti-seize (this is, if the head is aluminum)

damn! this is very educative please post more of this. thank you

The only spark plug that would make difference is Robert Krupa's Firestorm spark plug. Look for it on Youtube. All the others are -/+2%.

White soot means the engine is running lean and very hot. Just use what the manufacturer recommends for the spark plugs.

nice end, i guess
im pretty sure you really needed those platinum+4 spark plugs because standard copper/platinum plugs won't allow your car to idle properly
Informative. But, copper (next to silver) is the best conductor of electricity. These silly multi-electrode, fancy metal plugs to nothing for combustion. You should have put the factory recommended AC plugs back in.

you're actually right about that. the factory plugs are platinum, and the bosch ones worked okay. they were later replaced with AC delco pro iridium plugs, and they worked well.

Dielectric grease on the threads? Not good It will make the car misfire.

i've only ever had that happen with older coil/distro ignitions, or if someone used a LOT.

Good. Thanks for doing this it's useful. Although you made a big assumption about the plugs that they would have the correct sparking width when you fit them. If this were incorrect it would make a big difference to how your engine were to run. otherwise thanks!
