Recently, an ad against Prop 8 called those in support of the proposition liars for saying that legalized same-sex marriage would affects churches and schools. Unfortunately for them, that same week an article was written in the San Francisco Chronicle explaining that that was already happening.

*Sorry for those that had linked or commented on the last video. There was a spelling error that I had to correct.

  • As the person who posted this video said, the field trip was organized by parents......so who the hell cares? Let people love.....and from a kid's point of view it's like, "Oh, they're happy together. That's good!" Seeing a gay couple is not something that scars you for life in any way.

  • True...but my tax dollars still paid for this field trip. A public school seems to have paid for children to go see this. That only indicates support. Even if some parents agree and give others the option of not participating, the school should not be used for this. Maybe you can't understand, but that is exactly why the majority of Californians passed Prop 8.

  • I WOULD believe this ad... but too bad all that is already happening in Massachusetts, at least when it comes to effecting schools. It HAS happened and there is nothing that would keep it from happening anywhere else.

Good thing we don't have to worry about it, now that Prop 8 passed.

  • I think that you didn't watch the whole video. This video was in favor of Prop 8.

  • "take our tax money OUT of public education"

If Prop 8 wins, can gays be allowed to stop paying taxes to pay for your children's education?

"These above activities were a very poor use of school time!"

Again, parents organized the trip. Do you now want to tell other parents how to raise their kid?

  • These children were not forced to go on this field trip. None were taken against the will of the parents. In fact, the parents organized this field trip, and two children opted out. Opting out is completely legal in California. It is the right of the parents to pull their child from any curriculum if they feel it goes against their personal beliefs and morals. A right that ALL Californians have, mind you.

  • Okay I have nothing against gay marriage, but I have to say, wasting money on taking kids to a marriage (of any sort) on a field trip is ridiculous!

  • " hey mom in school today I found out my teacher wears a strap-on" thoes parents should be ashamed of themselfs

  • Back in the day inter racial couples were not allowed to get married because of bigots like this. This is exactly the same.

  • oh the horror!!! *rollseyes* Seriously its not like they took the kids to watch a same sex porn. Their are straight teachers out their that are molesters go take action against them.

  • Once upon a time, Slavery was acceptable... (even in the bible apparently). Once upon a time, being racist was 'OK'. Once upon a time, being a sexist was 'OK' too. Now, as we all know they no longer are - and those who still are are irrelevant. Times are changing.... CHANGE -or BE IRRELEVANT!

  • No, majority of californians passed prop 8 because they were persuaded by the millions upon millions of dollars in ads that pathetic, bigot organizations continually barraged them with. You know, it's kind of sad - You expel gay right to marriage, just to stay that one foot above them. You happy now? Do you feel superior?

  • why, what does it mean to you. How does it effect you. homophobe. Greedy, bigot, homophobe.

  • an historic accomplishment for human rights ... there's no way you can challenge the academic or learning quality witnessing that event. all my sister's students showed up to her wedding, really, what on earth is the big deal?

  • Private Schooling is a booming business, so if parents do not like what their local government run public schools are teaching, consider these alternatives, like home schooling.

This was taken before the people of California voted YES & won. And BTW, why was the other lady dressed up like a man? Who was she trying to fool? the kids or the parents?

  • According to the 'opt out' law, that stands in california, parents have the right to opt their kids out of classes, and that law will stand wether gay marriage is leagal or not.Two kids were actually opted out of the feildtrip, and parents of the kids in this ad have confirmed that they had the possibility to opt their kids out but didnt.
