At one point of our broken lives we are all confronted with what we really believe about our destiny, our dreams and the journey we call life. We all - if we are honest enough - have to admit that the absolute truth is still the truth, whatever we in our relative reasoning and respective belief systems think is true. We are often encouraged to believe: It's not the destination in life that matters, it's the journey. Is it? The journey is important, of course. That is life and you only have one. But is the destination really irrelevant? Isn't it the journey eventually leads to a destination? Isn't the journey temporary and the destination of a more permanent nature? Have you ever had a dream like this? You get into a lift, press the button and your whole life passes you by as you are moving up and up... Martin Luther King's made his famous "I have a dream" speech during a civil rights march on Washington on August 28, 1963. Do you just dream of the journey? Or does the destination matter, after all?. The new Terrence Malick film, "The tree of life" - winner at Cannes this year -- is another example of a film that encourage us to ponder about life and the journey as we follow the life journey of the eldest son, Jack, through the innocence of childhood to his disillusioned adult years as he tries to reconcile a complicated relationship with his father (Brad Pitt). Jack (played as an adult by Sean Penn) finds himself a lost soul in the modern world, seeking answers to the origins and meaning of life while questioning the existence of faith. The film opens with a quotation from the Book of Job, when God asks: Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation...while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy? Ultimately we are confronted with what we believe about God and life, and the claim of Jesus Christ to be the Truth, the Way and the Life. We're either moving purposely toward an eternal destiny or we are on the road to nowhere, swept away in an ocean tide of consumerism, desperately trying to get the most out of the ride we can. The days and years pass by all to quickly, space-time like sneakers running to our destination. Homage to Historia de un letrero, The Story of a Sign by Alonso Alvarez Barreda Music by: Filmed by

@bishop8000 Faith is not something to argue about. If you have never experienced it as reality, you'd call those who actually do names such as "vein" or "delusional". If you seek, you will find. If not, well, you chose that destination. Loved this video! To my favorites!
