Food Inc. A Documentary Film by Robert Kenner. The film airs on POV on April 21st.
How much do we know about the food we buy at our local supermarkets and serve to our families? Though our food appears the same as ever — a tomato still looks like a tomato — it has been radically transformed. In Food Inc., filmmaker Robert Kenner and investigative authors Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation), Michael Pollan (The Omnivore's Dilemma) lift the veil on our U.S. food industry, revealing surprising facts about what we eat, how it's produced, who we have become as a nation and where we may go from here.

yes it is great information.. watch this .. if you watch this and want to make a difference but dont know how or it seems like a major inconveinence to change...at least start buying from local farms and buy organic...this will put pressure on the major corporations that probably dont eat the crap they sell...it is up to all of us to make the rules and we do it by the way we respond....LETS GET IT DONE NOW,our kids depend on us

@TitaniumTiger the other option is to buy local and buy organic. its less extreme and may be a better option for most. if you want to totally stop eating meat thats a good choice for you but most people wont and they need the option to buy organic, so to begin any great change give them this option to begin

Watch this on our local PBS station here in Las Vegas after hearing an interview on our local Public Radio about it. Worth watching for sure and or getting the DVD.

There are some very graphic scenes in this, be forewarned. I stopped eating meat about 9 months ago, and though I already knew a lot of what goes on, this show just helped solidify my conviction not to eat meat.
