No offense to my buddy, but kind of a boring fight

He made a couple good moves, but his team just wasn't very well constructed, and half of it wasn't EV trained.

  • Hehe what are IV's? I know a noob question but i'm an old fashion trainer.

  • IVs are invisible numbers all pokemon have, 1 for each of the 6 stats. The number ranges from 0-31 and can only be controlled via Breeding. The higher the number, the higher a pokemon's stat is in that number. Each IV point is a point in stats.

My thoughts exactly . If you can't see them how'd they know they existed anyway ?

  • anyone want to battle my code is 5242 4485 5565 message me yours...

  • Each IV point is a point in stats at level 100, right?

  • *pwned*

  • @londea88: Breeding is essential for EV training (and IV breeding) because pokemon from eggs have 0 EVs. The ones you have used for awhile already accumulated EVs and thus cannot be trained properly. So it gives you a fresh start and easier to avoid mistakes.

  • Loads of places. Google is always a wonderful place to start and can lead you to a lot of different sites. Gamefaqs, Marriland, Serebii, Psypokes, even personal sites can have all the info you need. Its not too complicated. I have a video myself that discusses the basics for IV/EV training.
