The result for today: Sammy is connected to Mark, his trot is relaxed and there is slack in the rope. Mark did a great job with staying patiently and politely persistent in the proper position, too!
That looks wonderful!! How did you manage to convince him not to just keep stopping at every barrel? How long did you go with having a treat on every barrel? Could you elaborate a little bit, please? We have a horse at our barn that only has to see a barrel and he'll make a beeline for it and there's nothing you can do to stop him... :)
