For the third year, seventh through twelfth grade students at Brooklyn Center High School in Brooklyn Center participated in the school's International Fair. The event on Thursday, Jan. 22, provided attendees with the opportunity to hear student presentations and taste student prepared international cuisine that focused on an international topic or issue. Students from Earle Brown Elementary attending the fair were provided with a passport and moved to each presenter to hear their presentation or demonstration. Once completed, students would receive a stamp and move onto the next topic. The day provided Brooklyn Center High School students with an opportunity to develop intercultural awareness and international mindedness, engage in inquiry, gain understanding of their own culture and other cultures, share information about their own cultures, staff, parents and others in the community and think critically about world issues.
