Hey, is it possible to use 600v rated diodes instead of 1kv ones with minimal risk of "exploding-in-face-as-soon-as-
you-push-the-button" syndrome? If the capacitors are only rated at 400v, is it safe to assume that the diodes can be also rated for 400v? -
That was a total misuse of electronics know how. Completely irresponsible, I love it!

@genussalticah Literally any npn transistor that can handle about 8 amps will do.

@VrIgHtEr You are right about the voltage, i worded my senctence wrongly... but you must understand that 2 diodes and 2 capacitors equate to one stage... you can't have just one rails of caps for this to work, otherwise is won't stabilize properly.
