*kicks their ass*

As for The HYW (200 yrs later) I know that period quite better than you as well. No english king officially took the french throne (Henry V died just before coronation in 1422 and Henry VI's coronation got revoked due to the salic law. He got his ass quickly kicked by the french anyway so that England lost the war in 1453).... Now, I know all this makes a lot of information for a small hollywood washed brain, but that 'll help you, I'm rather positive about that.

English started being English after John lackland lost every land in the continent & had to sign the magna Carta in 1215. From then, English should only focus on their island. So that makes indeed 150 years of french kings living in France, speaking french, and ruling England.
-
Now as Historian Macaulay says : "During the century and a half after the Conquest, there is no English history. The French Kings of England rose to an eminence which was the wonder of all nations " Enought said. Are you an historian ? i don't think so.
After franco norman kings of England felt, The Plantagenest house (counts from Anjou)started ruling England with Henri II Plantagenest (100% french guy) from 1152.

Look man, I don't give a shit what u've been told, I've been studying Franks & norman shared history for years and i just know far better than you what it is all about. Normen settled in France as Vikings, but got franchisied (left their language, religion, wives to french ones) + the invasion involved lots of franks alongside normen.

thanks, have to look at it tonite

@FienStudios Yes, no doubt it did. Given that even at the Battle of Trafalgar almost half the British ships were the war prizes of France or Spain, and that by the end of Napoleonic hostilities, most of the serving British ships had been built in France, I'm sure France must've been doing a fine job kicking England's "ass". lol, Englishman?
-
@townsley2 Yes, they fought for themselves, because they were Norman, not French. If a French duke with allegiance to the King of France had invaded and conquered England, do you honestly think England and France would keep on fighting each other almost non stop for another 800 years?
-
@townsley2 The only revisionism here is from you. The Franks and the Normans were two completely separate people. The fact is they had adopted the language. I have to laugh at you trying to convince people that French kings ever ruled over England. Have you ever heard of the Hundred Years War? It was completely the other way round. English kings reigning over large parts of France for centuries after the Norman Conquest, and for a time came close to taking all of it.

My logic : I don't speak Zoulou / English kings spoke only french ! Period.
I dont even understand why U all compare french & english people of the days depicted in this movie to french & english people of nowdays... Real history isn't in a movie, it takes place inside archives, and I know what i'm talkin about. And don't take for yourself what other people did in the past, playing PS3 and FPS doesn't meant U deserve the right to appropriate past acts. Most of U didn't even do a military period and U talk about things U know nothing about.... History has to be studied..
