On Apr 23rd 2010, 100 or more sled dogs were allegedly executed because of the inability and/or unwillingness of a business to continue to care for them. They were allegedly slaughtered, cruelly, and heartlessly and thrown in to a mass grave like garbage - some were not even dead. Because Canadians animal welfare laws still consider animals, even working animals, property, it is expected that there will be no repercussions to this man or company. These laws need to change. Please help us, in the name of all animals who have suffered and will continue to suffer unless we take action. Our laws need to change. How would you feel if the person(s) who "allegedly" did this was charged, but not convicted? http://www.april23rdvigil.com
I have had a comment that *these* dogs were not the ones killed, but I doubt your source and or your knowledge, and I have to ask....how is that different? The dogs who were killed had names, and were loved, no different than these ones here. What I think is so sad is that they went missing, and it seems no one, including you, said anything or even noticed......

  • thank you for this...after spending five weeks recently in a third world Country, I was disheartened by the way dogs were treated...I met, and named many dogs down there...some that even had owners, who did not even think that naming them was important...I have found after being home, that are laws are no better regarding animal cruelty....Thank you again for putting names to some of the faces that I, my friends and family will be honoring this Sat....

  • The person who did this had to be mentally unstable-there is no way a normal human being could do this.

This was in a word a "SLAUGHTER"-MURDER of dedicated, loving dogs. There is NO exxcuse for this. We slaughter dogs and seals and and and-who gave the "humna" the right-the permission to commit such senseless acts of violence?

  • @Huvie11 interesting you should say that and then remove your comment.

I dont know how you can look at yourself in the mirror every morning, and at the dogs empty pens. Lives were *allegedly* taken. How many bodies will be in that grave? 600? 1200? How many puppies? How many pregnant dogs? And from your comment makes me think you are okay with it all. I believe you are a sad case for a human being.

  • this is truly disturbing ! who could do that?!

  • thank you for putting this up. I wish I could have done something for these dogs...
