I do not entirely agree with that. It has also to do with culture and the philosofy of the country. Scandinavian countries are ritch countries, but they consume very normal (compared to America). They are the most happy people in the world, they don't work very hard and have a lot of holidays. The American dream was: work hard and you will have succes. But what does the succes really give you? A lot of stuff and no free time to spend on things that really matter. It's time that Americans wake up

Scandinavians are the "most happy people in the world"? Really? Go tell that to Greenland's, Finland's and Sweden's high suicide rates. Happiness is not equal to richness and comfort, you should know that.

Environmental BS video. Ohhh the big bad capitalists! You have to be joking. It is not the job of the government to take care of us. Please tell me where in our constitution it shows that others work for those that refuse to work? The individual is the driver behind this process and the free market is what keeps it in check, not the government. This is a propaganda video and is BS. We are the ones that drive consumption, not corporations. They only satisfy the demand of the people, period.

This is too much. I am sick of this propaganda. I wonder if one ignores it will it go away? I doubt it.

I know some people work nearly 80 hours (voluntarily) at work just to jockey for position to secure their six figure job; ironic, since they think themselves so valuable yet afraid enough to lose their job to overwork themselves. All that just to accumulate more crap than the average man. What's the point of six figures if you can't enjoy it. The only time doing that much work might be OK is if it's a dream job.

The thing with immigrants is that they may or may not have access to advice and guidance from someone whose gone through it all before in this country plus the language barrier. Usually that guidance comes from parents and sometimes friends. But a lot of immigrants hang around each other and they do not have parents that lived here to guide them.

See if this short discussion RINGS TRUE as the systematic fix we all long for and can't find? watch "Outside Advice" on youtube.
