Mamoru Oshii has created and directed some of Japan's most celebrated motion pictures including the highly acclaimed movies: 'Ghost in the Shell', 'Patlabor', and 'Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade'. Now available for the in one affordable set are three of Oshii's early live action theatrical features: 'Talking Head', 'Stray Dog', and 'Red Spectacles'. These are the stories of men whose lives are forever changed by deceit, betrayal, murder and whose sole purpose is either to live as wolves or to live as sheep. Prepare yourself for a cinematic collection that delves into the mind of the legendary, Mamoru Oshii.

  • This trailer is ridiculously misleading. These are not action films. They are full of fresh and wonderful ideas, and offer further insight into Oshii's work and concepts, but people seeking them out to watch a live action Jin Roh will be disappointed.

Read about them and know what you're getting into before ordering these. For any true Mamoru Oshii fan, though, they're well worth the effort. Also track down 'Tenshi no Tamago' (Angel's Egg), which I find to be his best film.

  • I love Oshii's films to bits, the action scenes are few but superb, and the rest of the film is truly thought provoking. But if you wanted to try and sell the Keboras films to someone, what would you show? A compliation of the action scenes. Yes, it's extremely misleading, but it'd get people to try them, which is the point of advertising. I wouldn't have watched these films if I was shown a clip of his atmospheric scenes (however much I love them now), but this video would make me leap at them.

  • @sushidroid i think stray gog are good movie

  • @shiro80 Just you dont understand this movie

it is serious and very good

p.s OSHII MAMORU are GREAT!!! Panzercops Forever!

  • Wow,that looks great

  • Oshii seems to really mess with the fans of Jin Roh when it comes to Red Spectacles. Looking at that film and at Talking Head, it seems he is making some statement about the relation between the audience and directors of film/anime. I'm not really able to define what that statement is exactly as of yet. These are some truly thought-provoking films.

  • @JAhU00 Are you kidding me? The camera angles are vintage Oshii and the action sequences are very solid (certainly better than the redundant blockbuster shit coming out of Hollywood). The movie itself isn't Oshii's best storytelling, but it's a very solid watch.

FOR PEOPLE WHO ALWAYS COMPARE A CLASSIC JAPANESE FILM TO A STUPID GAME THAT RIPPED KERBEROS SAGA!

    you rules frendo...

  • Stray Dog was a rather bad movie. Everything is slow in it, the camera shots are plain horrible.

However it can be quite hilarious (fighting scenes lol, mimes lol).
