Tutorial showing you how to make a Dynamic Gantt Chart and Frequency Distribution Chart which will update every day. Each day, the bars on the chart will change in size and color to show how many days left you have for a task or project.

Follow along with the spreadsheet used here and get more stuff including templates, macros, keyboard shortcuts, etc. on the website:

  • it was very helpful in my Academic Assignment.

    Thank you.

  • excellent thanks a lot ;)

  • wow... much simpler than the web tutorials. I thought this could only be done via hard coding options. many thanks

  • This is eaclty what I needed. However, one important question???? What if client changes timeline dates (i.e. 1. training start date (1 hour) was scheduled, but then pushed out.. 2. Training date started (1 hour) but couldn't accomplish all tasks for the hour, thus pushing to another training date.)

If you can help me that would be AWESOME!

  • Is it possible to overlap “percentage complete” instead of current day? I have a project with multiple tasks starting on the same day but lasting for different lengths of time, so I’d like to show the percentage complete for each task.

  • Great work.

Is there a way of connecting sequential activities and displaying them, similar to the completed and not completed tasks?

  • Thank you for great tutorial.

I have a question. Would it be possible to add in this chart more information and calculations. The Idea would be to have info about the "Planed times" and "Real times". So at the end you could see, have you missed the beginning or end of planed time. Thank you any way.

  • Thank you for taking the time to post this tutorial, it is very much appriciated on my behalf. Keep up the good work

  • excellent job, I appreciate for this tutorial

  • excellent presentation.. thanks buddy
