Mike Johnstone played with Headstone Circus in Norfolk when I was a kid. In exchange for a Fender Princeton Reverb Amp he installed a p-90 pickup in my banjo for me, and he repaired the broken head on the Gibson Flying V I had given him. (I believe he sold it)
Nice skills! You don't know me, but I am trying to find out if you are the same Mike Johnstone that I found in an ad placed about 2years ago by a friend. Are you the same Mike Johnstone that played in a band in Virgina (Tidewater, Newport News) in the 1960's? Please contact me-
Michael Johnstone....you play a mean steel! I enjoy all the knowledge you share on the Steel Guitar Forum as well. You make slantin' look so smooth and easy. Thanks for posting, those CruzTones sound nice!
