@Grungydan - Couldn't agree more. When we (old time band) would play at festivals, the private musician circles or after parties would have incredible musicians, who just played for fun. We, on the other hand, seemed to get our kicks cramming into a van and traveling to other states...

This girl is really good, but if you want to hear the next bluegrass prodigy in the making, check out any video by AJ Lee. I think her voice is better than Sierra Hull---she has much more power behind her. Go---check out AJ Lee. 13 yrs old now.

Something you have to realize is that in the country (speaking of the rural US) there are fantastic musicians that still just play for the fun and enjoyment of playing. We're surrounded by them, and so while they are obviously amazingly talented, it's less of a shock. Churches and community houses are full of amazing musicians that aren't in it for the fame. America's notion of "talent" is just skewed by the media.
