@adriantriplea okay, i'm just seeing how many people use direct instead of mic cuz i have a mic but just figured out how to do it directly, so i just wondered

@fazbotguitarguy it depends, if you have a good amp through a good mic, that should work better, since direct recording only emulates a good amp through a good mic.

i think that having the actual gear sounds better, but its also more expensive.

@adriantriplea okay, well i do have a good mic and a good amp, but i don't have a good room to record in with good acoustics which is why i'm going to start doing it directly. I also live with my family still so it can't be too loud, seeing as i now have a bigger amp.
