You're right, but don't get things wrong, the interviewer appreciates the art, he presents the only emission in France who really cares about the art of music and I bet he's a big fan of RHCP as all of you. Don't blame him, his job is to ask questions, he can't just appreciate when he's on TV. And who cares about the "official 1st" ? It should have been Flea anyway !
