Oh my God. Major deja vu... I watched this interview when it aired in the early 70's. I was maybe 12, 13 I don't know staying up way too late on a Friday night probably, but that last story stuck in my head all these years. And it is so strange to hear him tell it again 37 years later. Chill hearing it. That's why I live YouTube!! Thanks for posting.
@meekintheweb no, that was what you are expecting, thats why Hitchcock's story doesn't go like that, it turns out to be much more brutal. its a classic technique to make you suspect a character then introduce another.
Shit... I thought the punchline was going to be that it was the father dressed as a woman and taking a woman's voice !... Would have been better ! Well... maybe more of "our time" actually...
