@390merc65 - Yeah, I know what you mean. A buddy of mine has an '87 Toyota pickup and is considered "ancient". I drive a '68 Cougar and is considered a classic. I've seen more Cougars on the road over older Toyota trucks. It's all about sales and marketing. The Jap companies just want to keep pumping their shit out in droves.

dont be silly my 78 bronco had 320k miles on it , and for 8100 dollars and 29 yrs latter i did good , attention to detail in mantinace is everything. my 60 squarebird " still here" is comparable to this car here and somehow i like the idea that i don't have to remove the headlights every 2 or 3 years to "buff" the plastic out. or replace the plastic clips that break. true no air bags but the car will take a hard hit thou.. 390ci supercharged /ac /disk brakes /conv..

They just "ASSEMBLE" those cars here if they make me here show me the engine plant. and the americans that work there.. show me trim/and seating plants and finally the metal stamp plants ??? the truth is none of it is made here any bodt can plug in a instrament pannel plug sand say it was MADE here
