i gotta say, the flicker/thunder storm fx/accident is amazing.

Wow, that accidental flickering looked so cool - I think you should keep it. Reminded me of some sort of sci-fi electrical storm :D

@pyrohmstr Hey do you reckon you could test if there is a maximal resolution in the smoke simulator? I tested 350 and Blender froze. I want to see if an ultra-high resolution smoke sim is possible, e.g 45,000 resolution for a supervolcanic eruption, or an asteroid impact.

the flickering is a bug in the light cache. that should be fixed in later revisions than the one you used.

@blazraidr awesome, thanks :] I'll pick it up again in a week or two when I get my render farm working

High res with 6 divisions? What is the base resolution and total bake time?
IPVentertainment 1 year ago
@IPVentertainment
Base is 64 which took only about 5 minutes to bake
It took something like half an hour to bake the high res

@pyrohmstr 64 high res 6 for nearly 250 frames and it only took half an hour? Your computer must be a tank.

@IPVentertainment
Yeah, quad-cores are amazing like that :] The newest SVN builds allow multi-core baking but the Alpha 2 doesn't...so that could also be a factor
