I miss The Strike...
-
Pft.
Compare Strike to the old RX-78-2 or say the old Zaku and the Strike was invincible. Heck, you could destroy a Zaku using a portable rocket launcher - The Strike just shrugs thanks to Phase Shift.
Impulse > Strike though.

IIT: Why do people hate SEED?
I just hate SEED and 00 for... I dunno. I like AGE. I wish I had it as a kid.
-
Ok.
I dident like seed till i rewatched it. And now im amazed. I LOVEEEEEE it.
-
The fact is: SEED is doing very good in Japan which are better than 00 and most of the Gundam shows.
-
@Azureman012 I have no problem with seed. It was really bad in seed destiny. where is Bright when you need him.
-
@Azureman012 Pretty much summed it up. There's a fair bit of hypocrisy on the part of people who make that claim, as Gundam 00, which is far more popular in America, has Innovators, which are far more like Newtypes than Coordinators ever were.

Having not seen the original (BAD ME), I watched SEED mostly due to it being in J and I had an odd compulsion to watch everything in it, but only accomplished that single one. I could deal with Kira's angst if only because he could pull off some really effective and flashy stuff as long as you turned off his pupils, and he doesn't take his sweet time with getting around to nailing Flay.
Yeah, he cries a bit, but if he DIDN'T, then we wouldn't have a believable character.

@Zeithri The Strike might be impressive against (most) One Year War mobile suits, but when you get into the later UC where beam weapons are more common phase shift would be a lot less useful. Heck even GMs were equipped with beam spray rifles (though many were in fact equipped with more conventional weapons) which could virtually ignore phase shift, not to mention the RX-78-2's beam rifle which was as powerful as a battleship's beam weapons.

@soramuro All Gundam series are alternate futures for us, 00 is just the only one that didn't involve a calendar change.
why do a lot of people hate gundam seed?

@Yamato4232 Asking that question is like painting a giant target on yourself.
But largely from what I've observed, it seems to boil down to the fact that people (mostly Americans) were a bit put off by the first half of the show being an extended homage to the original MS Gundam, in combination with Kira's (overly exaggerated by haters) emotional outbursts, which were seen as being "too emo".
