got another question.. i got a nano.. and i got a 50 x 4 x 35 layout.. but my pap is very short.. 3 6/8 and half down.. and we wanted to put a p4 in it.. but it comes out just onder my thumb hole... and the center of gravity a lil left of center of grip.. is that a bad thing??

damn, the pro shop owned in my center wants to teach me how to drill balls. this shit looks hard and fuking retarded to do. its a damn ball and bowling. ill stick with being a mechanic.

Wondering how he knew to draw the angle of the val line through the pap. Is it parallel to the vertical line through your grip? I thought the val running through the pap was parallel with the first flare ring?

Also the only way you can accurately tell where the MB is located in any symmetrical drilled ball, or weak MB ball, is to spin it on a DeTerminator.

this is wrong, every drilled ball has a mass bias. there for the angles are wrong.

@bwilll6413 Not necessarily wrong. Its true that every drilled ball has a MB as weak as it may be. But because we can not predict where the MB will be after drilling (most time in thumb), only guess where the MB will be. That is why we use the 6 3/4 from pin thru CG.
Symmetrical balls are messy creatures when it comes to laying out DA drills. but you are wrong about one thing. The angle(s) do not change. The Drill angle changes. The VAL angle stays the same, and so does the pin from PAP.

@menorevs isnt the drilling angle the most important since it determines the early or later roll???

@DaveBais Its a system, so there is no "most important" part. Also if its a symmetrical ball, the Drill Angle will change dramatically after drilling because of where the MB will be located after drilling.
