How to Mod an Xbox and Install XBMC

why is it that no one will explain how to install the xbmc to the xbox. i have uploaded xbmc.exe multiple times to the apps folder and nothing comes up. is there another file that i need to make it work? or do i have the wrong files altogether? where do you get the correct files for xbmc? Someone please answer because this is getting a little rediculous that everyone has youtube video titles on how to install xbmc but they dont show you how to install it.

@BrandonSerralta If you have a .exe, that's a PC executable. It won't run on the Xbox. You need the Xbox version of XBMC which is a bit more difficult to obtain.

im NOT going to be using action replay. too damn expensive...

im going to be using Mechassult (IF I CAN FIND THE DAMN GAME!)

So I would plug in the Xbox to USB adapter..

plug the xbox end into the controler...

than plug in my thumb drive on the other end?

or do i need a female to female port?

I'd use splinter cell

As for the cord:

One end plugs into the Xbox. The other is a female Usb that your thumbdrive plugs into.

already bought a mechassult ORIGINAL black edition from ebay because

1. i already have Splinter Cell for PS2

2. Agent under fire sucked

3. mechassult got a 9/10 on gamespot + its the only game left xD

Either way is fine. If you don't have the skills/ tools to make your own, I'd buy one.

@BrandonSerralta go to xboxisozone and download the copy of xbmc from there and ftp it in your apps directory then run it if it freezes just restart xbox and it will work the second time

I like how everything is explained in detail apart from the XBMC disc which suddenly got there by magic.

Love the video. Helps alot. But do you know where to put the files if I just want the xbox to boot straight to xbmc, instead of having them in the apps.
