Information about installing the Cinema Display VESA Mount Adaptor to the Apple 23" Cinema Display ... and then placing the whole thing on a Ergotron LX articulating arm.

It took me awhile to figure out how to put this thing together, so I thought I'd make a video for anyone doing the same things in the future.

If you're looking to buy this model, I posted a blog with the exact model:

Hope this helps!

  • Thanks! Great video. Decided to get an arm and the apple vesa kit for my cinema display after watching this video.

  • @GeertSamuel - I'm so pleased my video was helpful to you. I am still using the arm in my home office. I also have the double arm system for another computer I work on. :-D

  • great video, i just picked up a new 23" to run dual monitors and also went ahead and ordered the ergotron arm for much increased versatility !!

  • @rosuhere - Glad the video was helpful. I recently bought a dual-arm set-up for another workspace. I really like both the single and the double-arms.

  • Great video! One question I notice it rotates left.. most of the instructions show it rotate to the left. Does it rotate counter clockwise?

  • @ncc1701p - No. It only seems to rotate clockwise.

  • Very helpful video. Thanks!

I'm thinking of getting a 24" Cin.Dis. to mount it on the wall above the bar in the kitchen connected to a hidden mac mini so I can youtube and what not while cooking.

  • @sushimaster1 You're not pestering. I think that's a great idea! As long as: (1) your LCD is VESA compliant; and (2) you have a place to mount the arm (like a bedside table or stand), then it should work fine. Lemme know how it turns out.

  • Awesome. I was looking into getting one so I could mount a small LCD in such a manor as to be able to play video games while lying in my bed. Not to pester you, but just to make absolutely sure. If you could confirm that my dream is possible, I would be very grateful.

  • Yes ... it has a wide tilt range. You can lower the screen to desktop level and tilt it almost flat, for example. Good luck!
