It's not 'vengeance atheism', it's criticism of the then Roman Catholic Church. My mother never knew her biological mother & I'm missing links with half my family. Shit, if my mum & dad hadn't fled Ireland she could have ended up placed with the Magdalenes, my eldest brother could have ended up being adopted for no valid reason, I might never have been born

My mum's now 80, I drive her to church every week, but I'll be dammed if I'll let get it get close to my kids.

We had a family member very sick, possibly dying, in a hospital, and a catholic tried to come in and minister to her, when she was too sick to push them away. She lived and was horrified by what was attempted to do to her. That was in the u.s.
