Ha! That's hilarious! I also used to be scared shitless of this thing when I was a kid. Whenever Sammy the Snake would appear, I just ran out the room. Thank you for posting this. I am not sure why I decided to search for this on YouTube but I'm glad I did. The song catchy, lol.

Oh my... the thing that gave me nightmares.. I was (kinda still) scared for sammy the snake.. He is just creepy... I hated when Sesame street letter of the day was the letter S.. I would turn the TV off because Sammy would be on..
Sammy.... I hate you, that's from a 36 year old man..

I was thrilled to find that the record had made it to CD as well! "Sing the Alphabet" has the entire original tracks, edited only at the last sketch following the "Zizzy Zoomers," but that was because it related to "turning the record over." Only other thing added was Elmo's version of "AB-C-DEF-GHI".

Same with me. I also have Sing the Alphabet. I have the 26 original tracks downloaded on Windows Media Player. Restored classics =)

Thankssss for the sssenssssational memories: I can't help flashing back to the first time I saw a garden snake as a kid, and belted out this song. :-)
