  • Why didn't the designer of the penny farthing make the seat lower and the pedals more in front than below you? - like a recumbent bith a big ass front wheel. It would be safer under braking, have better weight distribution and be easier to get on and off.

  • @TimpBizkit. Seat is close to bars cause you would like turn. If seat would be more on back front wheel would touch on your legs while turning. Believe me, they did think also back then. -Olli

  • It has solid rubber tires ;)

  • Please read history - find out why, before you show more of your own stupidity :)

  • Its easy to judge now, when you know better solutions. Its called evolution, again read that history and find out why.

  • @Darthbelal I always ride mine wearing my helmet. I've been told I have a thick head, but I don't want to prove anybody right or wrong on that!
