The country returning to the way it was is why the American presence has not yet left. Assuming these are just pissed off iraqis, tell me, where they obtain the supplies and knowledge to make ied's? This is due to their current and former terrorist ties and activity. The civil war factor is being diminished by America. If it happens it will happen upon our withdrawl. The region is known for instability, the current objective is to create a new stable alli in the region.

but the civil war will only,I think, be slowed in it's coming, because yes when America leaves there will be little to stop the warring. i think that Iraq needs to be allowed develop and that we should help them having started a war there but not strong arm them like they have been. it's happened now but it wasnt a fair and a just war and it took place because of a few avaricious higher ups seeking to gain short term benefits for themselves at the cost of long term problems for thousands.
