Under the Double Eagle

Here is an old tune I used to play..Lindsy Short inspired me to put it up after listening to her play at the CAAS this year and she did a great job. Thanks Lindsey for getting it back on my regular list. I love the tune and hope y'all like it....Bill Futrell

Hi Lindsey,,,Thanks for the compliment . It has been one of my favorite tunes to for a long time,,I believe we both like the same kind of tunes. I just wrote you a letter telling you how you can get the same speed and control with that thumb pick as the flat pickers do.And I think Chet would tell you and a lot more... I'm working on another one to put up. It may be another slow one. I got a good response from the last one . KOP and take care....Bill

Hey Bill! Great playing on a great tune! When I first heard this tune I wanted to learn it so bad...but it was a flatpicking tune and flatpicking doesn't come real easy for me. My friend Layne Benson of the Bar G Wranglers sat down with me and showed me how to play it. I'm still having a harder time with flatpicking, but I love playing this song. Your package arrived yesterday! I really enjoyed your "Winter Walkin". Excellent performance!
