Alrighty, so I was feeling ambitious... and I wanted another great run cycle to use =] So I made another. And this time, it's with Kita (Fellixe and Kenryoku's daughter). I spent several hours perfecting this one... and honestly, I think it turned out rather well =3

I just had to put all of those step by step things in there... this song begged me to! xD So basically, we have...

Step #1: Rough
Step #2: Lineart
Step #3: Alignment
Step #4: Coloring
Step #5: Greenscreening
Step #6: Background
Step #7: Effects
Step #8: Color Correcting

Roll it all together, and you have...
THEE FINAL PROJECT!

I know I haven't been on as much as I should, but the freezing temperatures force me to stay inside, and therefore, I come back to my favorite hooby; DRAWING!

Also, I feel like getting addicted to the Sims 2 again... playing it once is enough to get me addicted, so I'm waiting for the perfect moment... perhaps tonight or tomorrow? And also, BX (the website) is going great. The winter drives me to a good RPG.

Well I suppose that's enough for now... if you want to talk, MSN is thee place. Fellixe46@live.com (I hope I don't regret putting that in the public xD)

  • I'm not familiar with Photoshop, so that may be why I'm asking this question, but I haven't seen it on any other the other run cycle tutorials I've happened up so anyway, to the question.

What exactly is the greenscreening, it's purpose? How you use it? I mean I know how they use it when filming in RL but I haven't seen it with animating so yah. Just wondering.

  • @Alouncara I use greenscreening on some animations, but not all. Like run cycles and stuff. It basically just makes it easier for me to pan the animation across the screen while it is running, or something like that.

There's a tool on Sony Vegas called "Chroma Keying" and it takes the green out, leaving just the animation, and you can place a background behind it. Most of my previous animations are greenscreened. In Fang Stripes, though, a lot of it will not be.

  • The snow seemed to be passing by too slowly (underfoot) while the wolf was running. The pace the snow was passing underfoot seemed more of a fast walk.

  • Yep. This is somewhat old FYI

  • how much frames>(:

  • Wonderful! ive seen all your run cycles and this is by far my favorite! I'd base all you run cycles off this one, but add a bit more stretcheng and lower the butt a bit!

  • @coolmoviewatcher where you just saying she needs drawing lessons? well, everybody's a crituiq

  • I like your wolf, but it seems somewhat bulky in the front. Maybe its just me, but you could try being a bit more proportional when drawing your wolves. I like how to draw wolves .com, they helped me a lot. Thanks for the video!

  • How many frames were used? o3o

  • okey so ive started animation and i have photoshop elements 8.0 is there anyway that i can green screen and get a background for runcicles or weather aspecially rain or snow?

  • amazing <3

  • It looks like garth from alpha and omega! Lol i love this!!! I fail at running wolves

  • This run cycle is better than I expected! ^^

  • i would get very mad at myself if i tryed to make this
