@rexboogie Well honestly I don't know what else went on in Jay-z's life so as far as him selling out personally you might be right, but musically he hasn't. I don't agree with charging tickets for a concert at such a high price but as long as the music's good, I'll spend a paycheck on it LOL. To be honest with you Jay-z's music hasn't been good since like 2004 but I still respect the guy for his accomplishments.

@IHATEROCKNMETAL You dont think he did not know the price of the tickets? You dont think he did not know that they teenagers that lived in the building he grew up in could never aford to go? Look at ALL of the people he has delt with. from parners to artis on Rocafella. Most of them split oon bad terms. Damon Dash, Beanie Seagal, Camron, to name a few. DMX say he is a sell out(I know DMX) Its hear on you tube. Look up DMX Disses Jay Z or something like that.
-
Meaning it could be others who does the price range and he goes with the flow, but that's not to say he's doing it intentionally, he's just doing what's right for business, and there's many artists/musicians out there who does the same as well.

@rexboogie What I meant was if he really did "sold out" he would've just took the money and run and never do rap music again, but he's still making rap. Plus if he really did "sold out" he would've changed his rapping style or dumb it down for the masses cause record producers told him to but his rapping style has always stayed the same. However, yea, it is a rip off that tickets for his concerts are so expensive, but then again you can't be certain if he's the one who calls the price...

@IHATEROCKNMETAL Why would he bounce when he can make more money. Look I had o problem with Ja's so called mushy love songs(Except the grease video) I like softer songs. But when you do a concert and charge 600 and 800 dollars per ticket. That was not meant for the people in the hood. I don't want to get into a Color thing but how many black people were there? How many people from the hood? That's a sell out. His other ventures have nothing to do with his music and who he markets it to.

@rexboogie LOL what is there need to understand other than the fact that Jay-z got famous and decided to venture out. Yes he does care about the money no doubt about it, but never has he done anything that would be considered selling out, the song he did with Linkin Park is no different from the song Cube did with Korn or Onyx did with Biohazard or Run Dmc did with Aerosmith. If he sold out he would've said "fuck rap" and take the money and bounce.
