Those weights are specially made to be dropped. They are different from actual weights that are out on the floor to be used by everyone else. The weights are dropped because usually the amount being lifted is 2-4 times heavier than the person lifting it. So if it wasnt to be dropped, when bringing the weight back down, the only muslce being used is strictly your back and thats how injuries result. Dont consider it being lazy, consider it being saftey conscious

@inkelis It is a sport for people who can't catch, pass, hit or throw. So yes it is a sport for gumbys , for everyone else it is called circuit training.

You know I have no clue why but it pisses me off when people drop weights after they are done. Don't be lazy you bastard and set the bar down...don't slam it from 5FT up.

I do competitive swimming(sprint training) and as an addition I do good old fashioned bodyweight exercises and road bike cycling. The difference is I don't think I'm a big shot. I just do classic sports without the bullshit Paleo/Crossfit Elite life-style like this whole corny video demonstrates:D

BTW many Crossfit workouts hit the cardio better than any treadmill etc
