I think so - I've seen dogs "snap" at flies just to get them out of their faces... Never actually saw a dog catch one before (meat group!) but I doubt it would be very tasty! XD

You and I think alike! I saw a program a LONG time ago about a nature photographer that used a rifle stock to mount a camera to. I also thought about using the flash shoe to put a simple tube to site the cam with- probably exactly what you have in mind. I'm big on ergonomics. hehe, today I envisioned putting a linkage near the front of the camera to operate the movie rec button.
