Is the current Hollywood vampire craze innocent fun, or is there a hidden agenda of which the Bible warns? Watch the incredible parallels unfold between the great controversy of good and evil and the fictional characters of Twilight.
Here's the thing- I agree we need to watch our media intake but I disagree that media is the route of all evil. Think about it: human beings were violent, into the occult, and unloving long before Hollywood in all its shapes and forms came along. Why do preachers keep using video games and stuff as a convenient scape goat to blame all of society's problems on? If anything, these things are a result of violent, unloving, occult-using people and not the other way around.
@Hermy1138 It is fiction to a point. It is made to look like fiction while still deceiving. Because we embrace it as fiction, we dont see the connection to reality. I ti spossible to write about monsters and not be one, but the stories as we just saw, weren't from the the authors, but of supernatural entities. So they are not the monsters, whatever fed them the stories which I am 100% sure are demons, are the monsters. I hope this answers some of your questions. Feel free to ask more.
Truth is truth, whether people believe it or not- fiction in controlled measures is fine- but it can become obsessive and very addicting and a huge distraction from God.
@Hermy1138 Children of God, Followers of Jesus Christ, are called priests, positionally, under the High Priest who is Christ. imagination is part of God's creation. We are made in His image. That is, body, soul and spirit. Reasoning, Intelligence, Emotions, Imagination, Creativity, Thinking.
@Brucev7 You'll have to elaborate on that last part with the priest and all. Maybe I'm just daft, but it didn't make much sense to me.
Anyway, you've made your case I think. So no, there is no "imagination" If you are in favor of it, its god's work and perfectly fine. If its not to your liking, its the devil's work and should be banned, burned, eradicated from the earth, so that no one anywhere may indulge in it, including me.
Not exactly any gray area there huh? its either black or white.
@Hermy1138 God created the Mind, and the Brain. Therefore, the ability for "imagination" is a 'process' of the mind. The Accuser can not read the thoughts of a priest of the believer's, mind.
Awesome, loved your message! :)
