A collage of Annette Funicello photos with Annette recording "It's Really Love" by Paul Anka in 1959, a reworking of an earlier Paul Anka song called "Toot Sweet"; Anka reworked the song for a third time in 1962 as "Johnny's Theme" and it opened The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson on television for the next three decades.
When she was cast in her first beach movie, Walt Disney reportedly requested that she only wear modest bathing suits and keep her navel hidden. However, Annette wore a two piece fishnet suit in the second film (Muscle Beach Party) and a blue and white bikini in the third (Bikini Beach). Both swimsuits showed her navel, particularly in Bikini Beach, where it is visible extensively during close up shots in a sequence early in the film

  • are you sure of the song title; i did not hear the slang word 'toot sweet' anywhere in the song.

  • @KingdomUploader It being my video . . . . I get to name it.

Now, maybe you could take 30 seconds (less time then it took me to write it) to read the description I wrote for it, It just may answer your question.

  • I liked her in her 20's. More mature and way sexier

  • @genericgeorge I liked her in her 20's but I also liked her in her teen's and (as I also aged) her 40's equally well. As she aged, she became more mature & sexy to most.

  • hello thank you for the quick response it is understood but I have not heard from the family for 10 years and am concerned but I have always been in rememberence of her the way she was and always will but I just hope she is still around that is all thanks again and please keep her music alive

  • Yes, she is but she (& the family) have "retired" to private life. We are fortunate she shared her best 40+ years with us. Let's pray for her and her family and allow them to share privately, her "retirement" together.

  • I remember Annette in the 1950's. I used to watch on M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!! Mickey Mouse, Mickey Mouse....... I wish I could go back to those days. How different and innocent it was back then....compared to today! Well....there is no comparison!

  • they just dont make them like her anymore.

  • @KingdomUploader The song was written by Paul Anka but produced by Disney producer Tutti Camarata. The Toot is for him. BTW listen to the tune only. Paul Anka reworked it as the Tonight Show Theme starring Johnny Carson. Find a copy of the Tonight Show Theme on youtube, play it, then come back and listen to this song. Johnny's Theme made Anka a fortune since he got royalties of $500/night five nights a week, 52 weeks a year, for 30 years. I did the math for you about $3.9 million.

  • @ncatt lol; actually it only took me 5 seconds to find the song title in your description; why i am so quick to comment sometimes just shows how ignant i can be. i even went off and googled a bunch of info that i could have found in your description; now that is truly iganant:~)

    many, many blessings

  • I started watching Mickey Mouse Club when it started. Karen my first favorite because she was closer to my age. I had the comic book Disney put out about Annette, showing on the first page(s), her ballet recital in L.A. Also, a bit about her tonsils taken out & some Campbell's Tomato&Rice soup her mother gave her; a piece of rice irritated her healing throat. Odd, what little memories stir. When MS is a bad day for me (nowhere near 2ndary progressive),I think of her & remember to smile! Maggie

  • @rosesofpaper Yeah, this was originally on the album "Annette Sings Anka".

  • Her nephew says she is fine.

  • @tough213 All I know is as recently as March 10the of this year, she was taken to hospital after a big fire in her home. I do not think it was related to the MS, as much as it was to make sure she was fine. If I knew more I wouldn't say. Annette shared a lot of her life with us, and I for one am grateful. My first major crush. Her beauty, talent, and charm are eternal. God bless you Annette. A fan forever.

  • Love it!!!!....she was the reason I quit playing with toys!!!

  • Saw a news report that she lost her house to a fire recently. Hope she's doing okay.
