This is not Dorsey but Abe Lincoln on trombone - although I find that very clear, in case you can't hear it Ed Kirkeby's files are conclusive and confirm it's Lincoln.
Roy Johnston, t / Tommy Dorsey, tb / Bobby Davis, cl, ss, as / Sam Ruby, ts / Adrian Rollini, bsx / Irving Brodsky, p, a / Tommy Felline, bj / Herb Weil, d. New York, May 12, 1926.
I forgot to add - there exist two takes of this recording; Rollini plays virtually the same solo on both while Lincoln's solos are very different!
