Lately Congress has attempted to sneak legislation that could change the face of the Internet as we know it, and all in the name of national security. First there was SOPA, the Stop Online Piracy Act, but now CISPA (Cyber Intelligence Sharing Protection Act) is threatening the privacy and freedom of US citizens. No online activity will be safe when it comes to these bills because as of now what's considered a cyber security threat is a large grey area, but David Seaman, journalist and host of The DL Show, joins us to take a closer look at CISPA.

It's all about control. They want to see who's a potential threat. Who doesn't believe in what they want. I'm against it. Our government is horrible.

My point is, Facebook is on board with this. Technically anyone who is deemed a "security threat" would be investigated to the fullest under this law. That being said, if there was a "security threat" in another country, yet had information on Facebook that information could be accessed by the U.S. government. This is just one of the criticisms that I have of this bill, there's no way to know, clean cut, that someone is a U.S. citizen through information slapped on the internet.

I know, but its an American law, that allows a company IN America to look at its American employees internet history. There is NO effect on anyone who lives outside the American government.

What do you mean U.S. companies ? Companies have branches all over, not JUST in the U.S. Not to mention many people from other countries utilize websites that aren't country specific.

Only US companies will be allowed access, so unless they are illegal immigrants, this wont affect anyone outside the United States.

    This protects us how ?

What if someone isn't a citizen of the U.S. and their information is given to the U.S. government ?

The internet is not U.S. property.

Obama better use his second term for good use and veto this crock of bull! We're nothing if this passes. We will never look at America the same way again. When that election time comes around again, it'll be really hard for them to get our votes. All that advertisement on TV and bull crap speech isn't going to do crap for the American people. All Lies!!! All the lies that comes out of their mouth!

Not time to leave but time to take our country back. Demand transparency. We hired them and we can fire them.
