Explains The Liar Paradox, A.k.a. Knight/Knave Enigma, A.k.a. The Labyrinth movie riddle

I was tired of trying to explain it and reading unclear explanations on the net in words so i made a diagram and uploaded it here, also on my website in jpeg form.

Want to just see the diagram? its here:

http://www25.brinkster.com/soultorment/liarparadox.jpg

simply:
if truthful, the person will answer according to the liars point of view.
if lying, the answer will trick you into thinking the other is the liar.
therefore:
both answers become a lie, and as long as the question refers to the other person and the other door, the opposing door is the safe one.

  • In this video image "that" means the left door and "this" means the right door. This all relies on "this" versus "that". Given the scenario "He will say that door is heaven" does the guard mean when asked he will refer to the left or right door? Or is the guard making this clear to his own perspective? Who's perspective is the guard referring to? The other guard's or his own? That is the problem with this answer given. So this is not the correct answer.

  • What's with posting a single image in a video on Youtube? -.-

  • the accuser is the false one in the movie. their is evidence in mannerisms if you know how to look for it. words are words and be anything, but knowing Life when you see it and hear it is something that is priceless.

  • Answer:U will ask to one of the soldier "Which door will the other soldier tell me?" and u will take th other door

  • Ok the riddle say:That two soldiers are in front of two doors. One door is gonna take u to the place u want but the other door will tke u to the worst place that u could ever been but u don't now which door to take so u must ask the soldiers. U can only ask one question to the soldiers. But u don't who will tell u truth and who will lie to u(1 "truth" soldier and 1"lie" soldier not 2 soldiers of the same type).

  • i understand the riddle but i don't understand this diagram o.O

  • What if they both lie?
