@AMBROSIUScheth Really. You don't know? For this very reason you're going off on one now. The subject is sensitive. When lifting any remains, you need to do it with respect, reverence and quickly, in order that the least offence is taken. They didn't want any fuss, with uninformed, emotive laymen stomping in and preventing them from doing their jobs in the interests of all those normal minded people who want to learn. I find it hard to figure what point you are making?
@AMBROSIUScheth This is a tv programme & subject to editing to make them run on time. Sometimes they do miss vital information. This is the tv companies fault, not the archaeologists. I would agree with more emphasis on the burials at the henge, for people still seem to have a very fluffy view of the henge & aren't aware of the remains. Also they don't necessarily need to be "sacred" ancestors. They're just as likely to be sacrifices. All healthy young guys. Look at the man in the ditch.
@AMBROSIUScheth Who cares? You're entitled to your own opinions, but they aren't just your ancestors but everyones. Some of us would like to learn the real story, not just conjecture. 50yrs ago we thought we were the descendants of saxons & celts. From dna study of human remains we've learnt we're the direct descendants of those Stonehenge people. There was a public inquiry recently. Overwhelmingly the sentiment was completely contrary to your emotive assassination on one lone archaeologist.
@AMBROSIUScheth True to what I understand. This is unfortunate that one person was tasked for the job and it's taking much longer to sieve through the remains as previously anticipated. Since they were not in situ and had been removed and taken out of context, these things take time. Now I believe the matter is being given much more attention, with a number of people working on the bones. There's nothing wrong with being emotive, but being disrespectful and not seeing the other side blinds you.
@sonofherne He even went on to suggest that the Ancestors threw their ancestors cremated remains in the river although he said he had found no evidence to suggest this. He even suggested that Stonehenge was just the spiritual resting place of our ancestors. The human remains he had lifted from inside Stonehenge never got a mention at all! What was he doing? Why would he not want to entertain the british public with the truth??
@sonofherne In the Time Team special they ran (called 'TTS Journey' ) where MPP linked Stonehenge with Durrington Walls revealing his theory's of the Ancestors and the intricate relationship stone age people had with the afterlife he spoke as if he had much respect for the ancestors ways yet failed to mention on this prime time TV anything about their being humans remains laid integrally inside Stonehedge at all.
@sonofherne What is a non linear, christian perspective? I am an emotive man and I am speaking from the heart. I also like to work with the facts. In 2008 the riverside project and MPP removed 80 individual human remains which were in total 50,000 fragments and he only had a part time student working on the remains.
@AMBROSIUScheth Such emotive language & not very understanding of the situation. Try looking at this from a non linear, christian perspective. There were only a few children from the remains looked at from the Aubrey Hole excavation. These remains had been removed already 70yrs ago & arent in their original graves. The bones should be studied. By seperating & studying them we've, in fact ,given them back an identity. It's not clear one way or another that they aren't being reburied as intended.

@sonofherne also Since 1901 they have removed an estimated 240 people's remains. In my opinion MPP is a Hypocrite.
