Ai Miyazato uses balance balls under her feet while she warms up. This technique helps take the tension out of her game and helps her relax. It also helps with core strength.
My trainer makes me use those thing while working out and after the session I seem to have better balance. Using it before a tournament is perfect if you are used to doing it. It would be funny and embarrasing if she tried it for the first time before a tourney.
She can stand on my balls whenever she likes.

I like it.
I saw Annika Sorenstam swing standing on a swiss exercise ball and swing, THAT WAS IMPRESSIVE.

This is interesting. Thank you for sharing this. I think I should try and see if it really works for me.

It's a very good training tool to enhance balancing but quite rare to use for warm up.
As mentioned in the clip, she is using it for another purpose which is to help her release tension.
Nothing will be embarrassing...
When getting on top of the list, people will start to copy it.

@Mryouralljealous
especially before a tournament

its is kind of unusual because she did it as a warm up technique... most players dont really do warm- ups with the use of "balance balls". :)

Not "unusual" at all. I have all of my students, especially the juniors, do this.
