Changes in the way people obtain and share information is causing for there to be new interpretations of law in the area of intellectual property.
IP attorney Anthony Lupo talked about established law but also touched on areas that have not been full adjudicated as my guest on News Talk Online on Paltalk.
If you take someone's image, for example, off the Internet, have you stolen their intellectual property? Likely not, says Lupo. But the person who took the photograph might argue that you've stolen his or hers.
Then there's the issue of how one uses the image. For one's personal use or for publicity or news purposes? Or for commercial gain?
