I think they make them in either Hong Kong/China/Taiwan! The good thing is though, they are still high in quality. They even give you a nice, shiny tag to make it look more official.

We have these pirated Rilakkumas in USA claw machines, too. And most people can't tell the difference. But you probably can now, now that you have been to Japan and have seen all the real ones.
