"Indulgence" follows the story of Melf, a straight-arrow kid who doesn't drink, smoke, do drugs or even drink coffee. But as his life seems to spin out of control, he throws his fears out the window and has the strangest night of his life, indulging in alcohol, drugs, sex, and paint ... and if he survives, he'll never be the same. A new feature film from director Jay Bauman (winner Best Feature, Rewind 2003, for "Clowns and Suicide") and starring (and with cinematography by) Orange Cow Productions' Garrett Gilchrist.
This was a controversial film, because onset director Jay Bauman and cinematographer/co-writer/lead actor Garrett Gilchrist had very different ideas on what the movie should be. Gilchrist felt that Jay Bauman wasn't taking his job as director seriously and just "slapping the movie together in a half-assed manner," and in fact Bauman didn't quite finish shooting the film as scripted. The released film wound up being shorter than intended, and Erin Boyle's many scenes were deleted entirely. But it's still somewhat worth seeing.
