In the summer of 2003 a large forest fire hit Kelowna, BC. I made this video from pictures and tape I shot from a nearby mountain and from the roof of my house. I created this while the fire was still burning, so the numbers are not entirely accurate - the fire continued to grow for a few more days.

this stillgives me chills i was a little child back then but it was very scary having to leave my house wondering if i would ever see it again :(

I couldn't see accross my street the grey smoke was so thick. Until dusk every night when the smoke cleared and we watched and heard trees candling on the hill beside our home. well i hope that you don't get effected by this terrace mountain fire dude, they're saying in the path its moving it shouldn't effect any homes though, the fire is already almost 900 Hectares in size though..
