American Standard Cadet Toilet Flush -- 1980s

This is a commercial-variety of the Cadet circa the mid-80s as the 'mouth' design in the bowl and the tank design changed. From what I can see on the outside, they had slightly changed the trapway configuration as well. But this was a 3.5 gpf flusher. This video is from 2004.

Why does water flush clockwise? Perhaps its course of direction is determined by gravity and magnetic poles.

It is, and in the southern hemisphere, water will naturally rotate the other way. It actually is clockwise in the s.h. and counter-clockwise in the n.h. Also, the rim jets are angled the appropriate direction for where the toilet will be installed.

i wouldnt be surprised if that toilet clogs alot. thats the kind where you look around the bathroom for the plunger and pray that it goes down.

Actually, I've run into quite a few of these and they are actually pretty awesome. Never seen one clog before, but that's just my experience :)
