Vid showing the average track conditions from Alice Springs to Finke River where the famed Finke desert race is held every year. Camper trailer swaying around in the breeze behind.
Note this is not a stock Captiva. A stock Captiva would have broken down the first 500 klms of corrugations and after the driver developed severe lung complications due to all the dust that gets into the cab through the massive holes peppered through the rear body work (poor spot welding and lack of proper engineering). Many hours of sealing these holes and several hundred dollars later and it still lets dust in despite pressurizing the cab via the air con etc. Spoke to a Holden Stealership and they just walked off shrugging their shoulders. The original front tyres scrubbed out after 15,000 klm's and were dangerously worn at 10,000 klm's. Again Holden refused to acknowledge a problem despite the massive amount of complaints from Captiva owners. Apart from that and the electrical gremlins the vehicle is not too bad.
