This new 30' transit bus, an International 3200, isn't very accessible because the ramp is to long and too steep. It extends both inside and outside of the bus. When the bus was stopped at the bus stop, there wasn't a curb, so the ramp was too steep to wheel in. The driver ended up moving the bus to a nearby curb so he could reduce the slope of the ramp. I still did wheelies but, by grabbing the yellow grab bar as I was entering the bus, I was able to minimize the height they popped up.
I was on it again yesterday and, try as he might, the driver could not make it kneel. I was getting in at a stop without a curb so it was very steep. Two people had to help me in because I almost went sideways off the ramp. When I get into a wheelie, I can't drive straight.
I got safely into the bus and the driver closed the door then walked around to the drivers door to climb in. Would you believe the bus THEN decided to kneel? I have a feeling it is not working right.

It kneels pretty good. The problem is the steepness of the slop inside of the bus. The kneeling feature won't reduce the steepness.
